Complementary, not competing.
Social work already has strong organisations. We don't want to duplicate them. Our aim is to add reach and voice and help people find the right organisation for what they need. We haven't formed any formal partnerships yet. This page sets out how we hope to work with others, and we'll list partners here once they've agreed.
The AASW
We hope to support the AASW's advocacy where our goals align, such as registration, NDIS recognition and pay equity. We encourage social workers to consider membership, and we aim to share our Pulse survey results with the AASW.
Unions
The ASU, HSU and PSA/CPSU are best placed for industrial matters. We point people to them rather than duplicate their work.
Universities and educators
We'd like to work with social work schools on student voice and placement poverty.
Allied organisations
We hope to connect with ACOSS and the state and territory councils of social service.
