Interim Privacy Policy

Interim policy, version 0.1, effective 23/09/2026.

Fair Go for Social Work is in its founding year. This interim policy applies until our first steering group reviews and adopts a final policy. Once Fair Go for Social Work is incorporated, the committee will review the policy every 12 months. We'll post any changes on this page.

What we collect

  • When you join: your name, email, postcode, whether you are a social worker, student, educator, ally or person with lived experience, your optional AASW membership answer, and your pledges.
  • When you share a story: your name (or none, if you stay anonymous), email, field of practice, state, and your story.
  • When you contact us or sign up to the newsletter: your name, email and message.

Why we collect it

  • To count support and show where it comes from, by region.
  • To review your story and, with your consent, publish it.
  • To reply to you.
  • To send you updates, only if you ask us to. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Your AASW membership answer is for insight only. It never affects what you can do here.

Where it is stored

Our website is built and hosted by Zover, and its pages are delivered by Cloudflare. Form submissions are stored in a database in Sydney, Australia (run by Neon on Amazon Web Services).

Who sees it

Only the Fair Go for Social Work volunteers who manage sign-ups, stories and enquiries. We never sell or share your details. Published stories show only the name you chose, your field and your state.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while you're a supporter. If you ask us to delete them, we do so within 5 working days. Stories you ask us to remove come down within 2 working days.

Seeing, changing or deleting your information

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time. Use the contact form and choose "Privacy". We reply within 5 working days.

Privacy officer

Steven Lowrie is our privacy officer. Contact him through the contact form and choose "Privacy".
